Here is a pictorial sampling of items my son holds near and dear to his heart. It is by no means his complete collection, but it merely highlights a few of his favorite treasures.
And for the finale: A smorgasbord treasure chest of petrified wood, seashells, lava rocks, pottery, snake skins, rifle cartridges, and shotgun shells.
If you enter my son's room, he won't show you his shelf of sports trophies, his toys, or his games. He'll show you this stuff...the stuff that matters the most to him!
Looks like he is a real nature lover, He has a good eye for cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteI understand completely! Those are all neat things.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's developing a keen appreciation for the beauty of natural materials. And he's not alone. There's a reason people pay top dollar for snakeskin boots and ivory gun grips.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny. I have a similar situation with my son. In fact when we take the kids out to the desert to shoot guns I think my son thinks that spent shells are gold because he must collect everyone he sees. He reminds me of the little boys in Old Yeller, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that these are definitely the "things little boys are made of" :)
ReplyDeleteThose all look like treasures to me!I say the boy needs a bigger room!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a precious post. I think his treasure is wonderful.
