A Glimpse of Fall on the Mountain

On Saturday, we met up with fabulous friends to spend the day at our local ski resort.  One weekend each year, they give free season passes to local junior skiers, and this was the big day.  We all rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain where the views were absolutely breathtaking!

Pictures don't do it justice, but here's a peak of fall on our mountain:

The weather was so beautiful that we all decided to get off of the lift at the top and hike all of the way back down to the bottom.

We've got a bit of snow on the north face, but it's melting quickly.

Autumn is my absolute favorite season of the year, and I'm soaking in all of its beauty for soon Old Man Winter will be upon us.

Enjoy the beauty all around you,

Nell

  1. Oh my, it's beautiful!! :) I'm sure pictures don't do it justice, pictures don't do this country down here any justice at all, either.

  3. I love your blog. It always seem to hit home with things I need "reminding of" Like - just living - and enjoying what I am living. And being Thankful. My fav was the one about comging back together as a family - putting sports, and things aside to be together - to reset balance. Just wanted to share that with you - even though i am a stranger hundreds of miles away - God speaks to me through your words.

  4. I lived the first years of my life in the rocky mountains (Lakeside MT) next to a ski resort. I miss the mountain views, but don't miss the wet snow and trying to drive on mountain roads. Very much like the prairie roads here in Saskatchewan! Thanks for the pictures! It'll satisfy my longing for the view, for a while. :)
